The Very Selective Food Critic
The Very Selective Food Critic
Eating in front of Friday is never a private activity. Whatever I’m having, she needs to investigate. A tortilla wrap? Interesting. Cheese and ham? Very interesting. Even a bell pepper deserves a thorough inspection. I don’t think she understands what human food is supposed to be. She just knows that if I’m eating it, it must be important.
Friday conducting a very serious food inspection.
One surprising exception
One day, I offered her a little plain boiled shrimp. I thought this would be an easy win. After all, she’s a cat, and it’s shrimp. She wouldn’t even taste it! Apparently, a piece of boiled shrimp is less interesting than the bell pepper on my hand. I have no idea how her food preferences work. To be fair, she eats her own cat food just fine. She just seems to think that everything on my plate deserves a second opinion.
